I had cashed in on airmiles in the fall for this very idea for Feb. 18 to Feb.23 week to see Celine Dion on Feb. 20/13 in concert. The Monday was a holiday for us, so it assisted us in getting the time off, a little easier. We definitely had planned all we could for this trip. This was on my bucket list for 25 years and finally, I as Mom had the opportunity to go. However, much to our disappointment, the very night we arrived on the Monday Feb.18, we walked over to Caesar’s Palace to pick up our tickets only to find out Celine was sick with the flu and sinusitis. She is human and we understand that.We hope she recovered well. Her voice is certainly a blessing and talent from God that shares for all of us. We enjoyed our stay at the Flamingo and the shuttle was stress free but our hearts were to come to Vegas for Celine! The airmiles staff were wonderful in the fall and I purchased cancellation insurance but we knew the cancellation insurance was not going to assist me then in Feb. My husband and I had booked time off work, arranged the household and in the end, we did the best we could and enjoy Vegas. I do not need to revisit Vegas for time. My heart was and is still to witness Celine to sing. I’m from northern Ontario and I went to USA to see her! I can only dream that from my bucket list, I will try next time to see her again. I was reimbursed for the purchase of the two tickets but really, I was already committed to paying this expensive amount for my one time dream on my bucket list. I can only hope I have a chance in this contest as well. Again, I thank the airmiles staff as they were absolutely wonderful with me in the booking and answering all our questions and the trip went smooth and carefree as well. It was a kind neighbour who suggested this contest because he knew what had happened as the outcome for the trip.
