    I have lived in Victoria, when I was a young girl, my father was transferred out there, when he was a navy man..

    I would like to go back to visit someday..

    Are you sure this is Stanley park, I don’t remember it there. But I don’t know where else it could be.

    I believe it is Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg.

    the key to the question is “WHERE IN THE WEST” are you…do not think that manitoba is considered ‘west’? but more ‘east’..this photo is a puzzle..I do not remember these statues in stanley park..but then I have not been there for many years and my google search does not seem to find photos that show this place! a tough one!

    Don’t tell anyone in Manitoba you think they’re from the East – you will suffer greatly! The photo is from Assiniboine Park, in Winnipeg. That portion of the park is dedicated to community people who are nominated,then chosen every couple of years. Local artists then complete the sculpture. It’s right on the A.river so it gets quite foggy.
