Identify the location in the photo for your chance to win a trip to the location of your choice. It’s tempting to pick a distant spot, but I’m kind of conservative. Maybe Detroit. I hear it’s really nice in the fall.

My guess for this week is Australia – does anyone else have a different answer because I am not 100% sure?

  11. Lexy says:

  15. Frosty says:

Answer for Week of Nov 29th: Mali

    Proof: Google “mali mud mosque”

  16. Gladys says:

Frosty, you are to good, thanks for the answer

  17. Gladys says:

I’m thinking this weeks answer might be New Zealand. What does everyone else think?

  18. Cathy says:

Yes, I would agree based on the first clue.

  19. Frosty says:

It’s Champagne Pool at Wai-O-Tapu geothermal area in New Zealand. How I know? They are using shutterstock.com for their photos.

This looks like the photo does it not?

  20. Gladys says:

Thanks again frosty, you sure know where to find the pictures for these clues. I’m not so smart with that yet.

  21. Frosty says:

Artman, don’t pick on Detroit. Those people live in Mad Max times.

  22. Frosty says:

Dec 13: Iguazu Falls. This is a tough one, it’s either in Argentina or Brazil. It’s on both sides.

  23. trent says:

    looks like Iguazu Falls Argentina

  24. Frosty says:

The photo is taken from the Brazil side tho.

  25. Gladys says:

Wow, looked at pics galore last night-I’m torn,, but did see pics taken from Salto Floriano, Brazil side. Maybe todays clue will give us a better idea

  26. Gladys says:

Ok Frosty, national drink seems to be from Brazil. Counting on you to see if Brazil ,really is correct. Thanks

  27. Rachel says:

Hey again, Frosty – you must be the same one I hinted the answer to on the Cold-FX Facebook page on Monday – unless there are two Frosties. (Always possible, I suppose – have you been dabbling in cloning research?) The shot has the Devil’s Throat hanging platform in view and the Salto Floriano falls behind it, and therefore could only have been taken on the Brazilian side. If anyone’s still unsure, someone posted a message to Facebook that the Cold-FX guy confirmed was “a clever clue”, which read “I’m loving the contest – this week’s photo is driving me nuts – my clue for all my friends,” i.e. Brazil nuts.

  28. Frosty says:

I’m the same Frosty. Good to see u again.

  29. Frosty says:

Week of Dec. 20th – India

  30. Rachel says:

Yeah, that was an easy one.

  31. Gladys says:

Thanks again frosty. I wish us all luck on winning this contest

  32. Frosty says:

You might think it was easy but it took me forever to find that place on shutterstock. I could not find the photo they used tho. EPIC FAIL on my part.

  33. Gladys says:

    you did well frosty

  34. Rachel says:

This week’s photo is giving me a hard time. Normally I either recognize the landmark or can find it quickly on Shutterstock or Google Images. Not this time. The architecture of the church looks Protestant, and I could place it in a variety of northern maritime countries: Sweden, Finland, Norway, even Canada. My hunch is Finland. Something about the look of the place. But it’s still just a hunch.

  35. Rachel says:

AHA! I couldn’t find it because I left out one of the nordic countries in my search. It’s Denmark.

  36. motty says:

thx Rachel!i was really having a hard time w/that one…owe ya!

  37. Rachel says:

This week’s photo is so easy that I don’t think I need to give the answer. I didn’t even have to search for a photo match – I immediately knew where it was. The area has been in the news and in political spy thriller movies for decades, after all.

  38. Carole says:

Rachel give a mom a hand with this one, or at least tell me how I can go about searching it online since I do not have TV to watch movies or the news. WOuld ppreciate it 😛

  39. Rachel says:

    OK, how about this:

    *raises vodka martini* “Na Zdorovye!

  40. Carole says:

    Russia me thinks

  41. Rachel says:

Da! That’s a picture of the Kremlin.

  42. Carole says:

    You`re a doll, thanks!!

  43. Amberleah says:

Did anyone get the answer for today’s picture?

  44. trent says:

Looks like the Transamerica bridge – Panama

  45. Amberleah says:

    Thanks!

  46. motty says:

    another sunny locale…g’day mates!

  47. Amberleah says:

So, I’m guessing this is Australia!!

  48. Rachel says:

Perhaps I’ve just been lucky in the last few weeks that they’ve chosen places I recognize, but it seems like this is getting easier as time goes on. That’s the 3rd photo in a row that I’ve recognized immediately without needing to do any search for a picture match.
