Snap To It
What It Is: I LOVE the convenience of using my phone to take photos. In fact, I probably take (and share) a photo almost every day of my life. What I don’t love? The fact that I don’t print those photos very often anymore. I mean, I get it, it’s way easier to view the mountain of photos I’ve got via digital mediums anyways, but there’s something nice and different and tangible about photos that are printed out.
Enter Chatbooks. This amazing little service promises you can print off your favourite social photos shared on Instagram or Facebook into little photobooks you can create in 30 seconds or less. Yes, you read that right: 30 seconds or less. All you have to do is sync up your account and choose an album (Facebook) or a favourite grouping of photos (Insta), and Chatbooks will import captions, dates, and any other details.
Having tried it for myself I can tell you the books really do come together in a flash, and you have the option for customization by choosing the cover image per album, removing photos you don’t want to print, and editing details. The idea is to ‘print your everyday’ instead of leaving everything locked on your phone. Each album holds 60 images, and can be created on your phone or on your desktop.
Who It’s For: The audience for Chatbooks is endless. Attending a wedding as a guest or bridal party member? Take snaps throughout the day and gather them into an impromptu candid wedding album, from a guest POV. Have smitten grandparents? Gift them a little retrospective of their grandchild’s last few months. Did you go on an amazing trip? Gather your favourite memories into a book. You get the picture…hey-o!
What It Costs: An incredibly reasonable $8 / book, plus $2 / shipping (in USD). There are a few upgrades you can add – like a hardcover – for a nominal cost more.
Where It’s At: Download the Chatbooks app for your phone or go online.
Want to try Chatbooks for yourself? I am giving away 3x $25 USD gift codes, so you can create a couple of albums and share the love with your friends! Want to win a Chatbooks gift code? Here’s how to enter for your chance:

I’d like to have hardcopy of my granddaughter’s photos – she is so lovely!
I’ll use Chatbooks to have a record of our trips to visit our son and the times we get together and do crazy things with our daughter. With photos on our phones and computers, there isn’t much way to look at photos together.
