The Foldin’ Days

Nick Robinson Traditional Japanese Origami

What It Is: A fun and beautiful origami kit that includes 70 pieces of paper and instructions for creating 10 different shapes, including several variations of the infamous paper crane. Created by origami specialists Nick Robinson, this cute craft kit is straightforward enough for young ‘uns to learn the Japanese art of folding paper, and engaging enough for adults looking for a crafty time out from their days to feel occupied. I got a kit myself to try out and not only was it gift-ready in a lovely elasticized package, it truly is simple to learn. Those four shapes you see on the right? All this blogger’s handiwork!

Who It’s For: Your artsy niece or nephew, to give them a new craft to master. Your stressed out colleague, to give them something to zen out with mid-day. Your parents, who just came back from a trip to Japan and love all things Japanese.

What It Costs: List price is $17.99.

Where It’s At: I found it online at both Amazon.ca and Indigo.
