Dapper Dads
Father’s Day is but a few days away! If you haven’t already checked ’em out, be sure to take a look at my Truefitt & Hill and my main Father’s Day gift ideas posts (and giveaways). Today, I’m highlighting five awesome gift ideas for the stylish dad or guy in your life.
Folsom Cardigan – $118 @ Kit and Ace
Stylish dads know that a great outfit can be elevated with a soft and stylish cardigan. Kit and Ace is an awesome Canadian brand that creates totally wearable pieces with soft, sumptuous fabrics, like their signature Technical Cashmere fabric, which retains the cuddle fact of cashmere, but none of the high maintenance (i.e. it’s actually machine washable). While they have plenty of pieces to choose from (for ladies too), I love this cardigan as a stylin’ pick for dad at any age.
Fossil E/W Messenger Bag – $298 USD each
Replace his ratty old leather bag or his way too casual nylon messenger bag for something with a little more pizazz, like these stylish leather messenger totes from Fossil. Available in five different hues – from black to red to tan – these oh-so-soft bags can stash laptops up to 14″ and come equipped with plenty of pockets for all of his gizmos and gadgets.
Frank & Oak Collections – From $50
If dad likes to look good but hates visiting the mall, consider enrolling him in Frank & Oak. This Montreal-based men’s fashion brand launches a new collection every month, so dad can pick and choose his faves and have them delivered to this doorstep. Not in love with something? Return it for free! Pieces start at under or around $50 and there’s very few showstoppers price-wise. They also have a handful of retail stores in major cities across Canada so he can browse in person. You can also upgrade dad’s membership with The Hunt Club, which costs just $20 a year and gives him tons of perks, like free shipping (and free try-ons).
Paul Smith Edge Cufflinks – $140 @ Gravity Pope
Every dapper dad needs a good pair of cufflinks – and this pair goes the extra mile by matching virtually everything in his closet while still being playful and eye-catching. Featuring thin bars of various colours, these sleek silver and enamel cufflinks are a gift he’ll treasure for years to come.
SKECHERS Men’s Shoes – From $80
Sure SKECHERS might be known for their comfy kicks for the whole family, but as of late they’ve really been stepping up their style game when it comes to shoes dad can rock to the office, formal events, or out on the weekends. Their latest lineup of loafers, lace-ups, and sneakers feature awesome details like contrast stitching, padded soles, and on-trend colours that are a little more snazzy than your everyday blacks and browns. Be sure to check out their extra awesome collab with designer Mark Nason – several of the styles from that line are featured above and are sure to put a smile on any stylin’ dad’s face.
