I Thee Wed

StudioWedBox SampleWhat It Is: I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but the holiday season tends to be a ripe time for marriage proposals to spring up (in fact, so does the summer). It’s why most wedding shows are scheduled for the fall or early in the new year. That’s what makes today’s gift idea so timely. It’s also pretty darn unique, if you ask me. StudioWedBox is a monthly subscription service that is specifically tailored for brides-to-be and essentially functions as a substitute wedding planner (with really amazing taste). When you sign up, you also hand over your wedding date, so the box is tailored with tips and strategies that will walk you through the wedding planning process. Having recently gotten married myself, I can tell you – having a monthly reminder to keep you on track and help you pace yourself would be a total godsend, as I (and many other brides I know) felt like an avalanche hit me as the date drew closer.

StudioWedBox Sample 2Of course, planning your wedding SHOULD feel like fun – and StudioWedBox delivers on that front too. Each box is also curated with a selection of products that are ideal to keep in mind for the various elements of your wedding – from what you’re wearing to what you’re gifting to how you’re decorating to sending out invites, and beyond. You know the items are going to be awesome because StudioWedBox is actually a spinoff from a no-pressure wedding consulting group, StudioWed, that has an inside track on the latest and greatest in bridal products and ideas – from emergency wardrobe solutions to pretty party favours to festive ways to incorporate a ‘something blue’ into your look. I simply adore this idea as a great way to get psyched for your wedding, and inspired too!

Who It’s For: Logically, StudioWedBox is a perfect gift for any new brides out there – although it also has merit as a gift for your maid-of-honour that’s seriously stepping up to the plate to help you plan your big day. Moms might want to gift it to their daughters, or fiances might sign their wives-to-be up in lieu of hiring a wedding planner, or your bridesmaids may want to team it up and gift it to their beloved bride-to-be.

What It Costs: You can sign up for a single month of StudioWedBox for $39.99 – but signing up for a longer period helps lower that cost a fair bit. Since most brides won’t get hitched till at least a year after they’re proposed to, you may want to opt for the 12-month subscription, that brings the price down by $10 a month ($29.99).

Where It’s At: StudioWedBox is available exclusively through the StudioWedBox website – and yes, they happily ship to blushing brides up North!

Finally, I’m pleased to tell you guys that we’re giving away a special, one-of-a-kind StudioWedBox to one lucky reader! This box will be stuffed with tons of StudioWedBox‘s favourite products, and valued at $50 – if you’re keen on winning it, here’s how you can enter for the chance to win:

1) Shoot me a comment by November 6, 2014 telling me why you’d like to win this awesome prize and who you’d gift it to. While you’re at it, tell me what you think about StudioWedBox – who in your life could you see using a cool subscription service like this?

2) Entries are limited to one per person / per email address / per household (or more if you score bonus entries). A random draw will be conducted on or around November 7, 2014 to select the winner(s), who will have 48 hours to respond before another winner is chosen in their place.

3) Entries are limited to Canadians that have reached the age of majority in their province. Quebec is not eligible for this promotion.

4) Bonus Entry: Like StudioWedBox on Facebook and leave them a comment telling them why you think their subscription service rocks (or ask a question). From there, link back to your wall post in a separate comment below to score yourself a bonus entry into this draw (learn how to link back here).

I think that these are such a fun idea! I am all for jumping right onto the subscription box band wagon that’s popped up lately and i’m blown away by all the unique boxes (like this one) that are around. Who would think you could have so much fun with something so simple?. If I won I would gift this to my girlfriend. she’d been engaged for a little while now so the planning should start any time!! I also have a co-worker who just got engaged and i’ll have to let him know about this because I think it’s something he and his bride to be would find very useful!

Tell me what you think...
