Stick With Me

In my role as curator of the nation’s most popular gift-giving blog, I have a database of over 1,000 sources for great gift ideas (plus dozens more that I just go to on a regular basis). Within that database, I have a unique category for certain types of product lines – wardrobe solutions. That phrase may mean different things to different folks. For example, your mind might jump to a closet organizer. But in this context, I’m talking about little tricks and fixes to keep you looking (and feeling) your very best, all day long.

Typically speaking, wardrobe solutions are best applied in situations where it’s particularly important that you dazzle people with your grace and appearance. For example, weddings, photoshoots, public speaking events, parties, and even something as simple as a job interview. They provide little a-ha! moments you wouldn’t otherwise have, because they solve those common embarrassing or uncomfortable wardrobe malfunctions (not of the nipple flashing variety mind you) in a flash.

Solutions That Stick Product

Such is the amazingly extensive line, Solutions That Stick. Based in the US, this brainy brand features gizmos and fix-its that instantly take your look from ow to wow. Whether you’re dealing with a particularly fussy ensemble or your run-of-the-mill sore feet, sweat stains, or a lack of pocket space, they’ve got you covered.

Solutions That Stick Fashion Disasters
With wedding season already ramping up, and a Maid of Honour stint under my belt, I figured it was high time I feature the brand so you can pack a few instant fixes in your purse, no matter what your challenges. First up, if you’ve got a tricky fashion statement on your hands (or body) consider something like Pocksie ($9.95), a package of temporary ‘pockets’ that adhere to any garment. Suddenly your pocketless skirt can have a hidden, secure place to stash your phone, ID, and credit cards for those wild nights out. Wearing something formfitting? The Knicker Sticker ($7.95) disposable underwear or the Underwhere? ($5.95) no VPL thongs are just the ticket. They’ve even got tools to eliminate drool, block yellow underarms, and eviscerate makeup stains on your collar. Be sure to check out the brand’s Bras & Boobs section as well, for multiple ways to convert your bra straps or enhance your chest.

Solutions That Stick Footwear
Footwear of course, is a primo area where wardrobe solutions come in handy. From sweaty soles to aching arches, Solutions that Stick has a cure. I’m particularly in love with their Kung Shoe Grip ($7.95) stickers that provide excellent nonslip traction for those sky high heels. They also carry a bunch of products designed to simply extend the life of your favourite footwear including Heel Seals ($9.95) to replace the worn-out soles of your favourite kicks, Boot Stay ($9.95) sag preventers, and Ped Pens ($11.95) to touch up scuffed leather.

STS Smell
What’s particularly nifty about Solutions that Stick are some of the more unusual products in their cadre. Looking to eliminate some funky smells in sensitive settings (or areas)? The Subtle Butt ($11.95) disposable gas neutralizers and What The Smell ($7.95) bad smells filter are inventive ways to kick odours to the curb. They’ve also got some gear designed to ramp up your sex factor by enhancing your bits down there (for guys and gals).

Solutions That Stick Gift Sets
Altogether there are endless innovations at work when you peruse the Solutions that Stick website. Shipping for the record, is pretty reasonable – we’re talking $6.95, but free shipping with orders over $60. I love the idea of creating a kit of your own and bequeathing it to a bride-to-be, but they’ve even got that covered. Shoe Done It? ($49.95) and Fashion First Aid ($49.95) kits each feature 7 fantastic products to solve major and minor wardrobe quibbles alike, making them excellent shower presents, or even just to tote along as Maid of Honour.
