I have learned that positive self talk, especially to myself, goes such a long way. I can get stuck in a negative cycle quite easily, so catching myself turning it around is so important to me. I figure not everyone you meet in life will be in your corner, but it's so important that you're in your own corner :)

There's a quote that not only have impacted me, but I also share it with some friends and family members who may want to listen and reflect: " Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny." I learned to treat myself with positive thoughts by reading self-help books and listening to motivational podcasts. I cannot change other people without changing me first. If I want to have a happy life, I must be aware of how I treat my minds and thought. 😌

I have learned that not every little problem needs to be addressed in the same way. Things aren’t always as dire as they seem to be!

I learned to be kind to myself when I cannot meet the expectations I have created. Especially since my pain has gotten worse recently, it has become increasingly harder to pursue academics at the standard I would like, but I have learned that my health and happiness are more important.
