I have learned that positive self talk, especially to myself, goes such a long way. I can get stuck in a negative cycle quite easily, so catching myself turning it around is so important to me. I figure not everyone you meet in life will be in your corner, but it's so important that you're in your own corner :)
I have learned to be thankful for the smaller things and moments in life :)
There's a quote that not only have impacted me, but I also share it with some friends and family members who may want to listen and reflect: " Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny." I learned to treat myself with positive thoughts by reading self-help books and listening to motivational podcasts. I cannot change other people without changing me first. If I want to have a happy life, I must be aware of how I treat my minds and thought. 😌
I’ve learned I should have unplugged from social platforms (minus this one) a lot sooner!
I've learned better cooking and nutrition for myself. Having the extra time at home helps
I have learned that not every little problem needs to be addressed in the same way. Things aren’t always as dire as they seem to be!
I've learned not to be upset over things I can't control, and to really let go of some of my troubles
Phenomenal initiative...self-care is leadership!
I learned to be kind to myself when I cannot meet the expectations I have created. Especially since my pain has gotten worse recently, it has become increasingly harder to pursue academics at the standard I would like, but I have learned that my health and happiness are more important.
