Hi Guys! I am new to this contest entering business but I was wondering if some previous winners or vets could answer me this…
When I apply for a contest I never ever check the box that indicates I would like to receive “weekly offers” or newsletters or the like…. Do you find it makes a difference when winners are chosen?
    Thanks! :)

Great question, Sarah! I’ll be curious what people have to say about that. It shouldn’t matter whether you check the box or not, but I think it’s human nature to suspect that your odds may not be quite as good if you don’t sign up.

Thanks for the answer… I am going to continue not checking the box to sign up for everything they have ever written and hopefully it works out! :)

I always opt out of those also if given the option. I doubt it makes a difference but you never know.

My junkmail is at a maximum because I ALWAYS check the box. But the benefit of this is that I always get notifications emailed to me of new contests.

I check it sometimes if it really interests me & I’ve won small contests (nothing BIG.) My husband always checks NO/not interested & he has won more than I have!?
