Sustainably-minded choices included the guest list size, foamless floral installations and local wines
By Alison McGill
When Holly met Sydney, the connection was intense and instantaneous. The couple’s romance started with a swipe right two years ago and they moved in together just one month after meeting.
Holly is an event planner who has made eco-luxury weddings a focus of her business, Perrier Planning Inc. As her relationship with Syd evolved, they became partners in business as well as life.
For their wedding day, the women chose a carbon-footprint-reducing intimate gathering in Vancouver on New Year’s Eve, hosting just 12 guests. “Our eco-luxe style was ever present in our own day as we highlighted local bespoke designers, soy handmade candles, and foam-free floral installations created with locally grown flowers,” explains Holly. “We also supported LGBTQ+ vendors.”
