Is it true that it works for more than a cough?

No idea if product works on more than a cough. I have a family member who suddenly developed a weird loud cough (11 weeks now) and a doctor told him to use Mucinex this month (only managed to sort of soften the sounds but that’s it). Cough still exists so I don’t think it’s for unusual coughs. Think something health-related triggered his coughing.
