Love it, love it, love it!!! After reading about the Hamilton Beach Belgian Waffle Maker at http://bestwafflemaker-review.com, I purchased it and have used it several times, and it’s a breeze to use. I’ve used package mix as well as scratch recipes for waffles and they all have turned out great.
I have purchased several waffle makers in the past, and I don’t care how carefully you prep your waffle iron, one waffle will ultimately stick and it’s near impossible to get it completely out to clean because you can’t get the iron wet or use something sharp to scrape the waffle out. With this iron the grids “POP OUT” and you can put them in the dishwasher or wash by hand for easy cleaning. I still prep the grids with a little olive oil in a small pump spray, but you could use a store bought spray if you prefer. You just need to use “something” regardless of the “non-stick” claims as it ensures easy removal of your cooked waffle.
I also like how the handle folds in for storage so you can keep it in a narrower space. It’s a great machine and I highly recommend it.
