When I purchased my home five years ago I said I would re do my kitchen since it was an all white kitchen. White kitchens don’t work for my family of 6. I am a stay at home mom and with a husband and 4 kids I am always cooking so at the end of the day my white kitchen isn’t so white.
I recently moved into my husbands parents home. It was originally a log home and as my husband is third generation you can only imagine the state of this kitchen. The kitchen cupboards were built by his fathe, a farmer and local politician, and the flooring is about 30 years old. It is orange! My 90!yr old father in law would always comment on how it held up so well over the years! My husband and I are planning to retire over the next year or so and my dream is to renovate this kitchen, to accommodate our growing family of six children and eight grandchildren. It would be a dream come true! I would be happy to send you pictures of the orange floor!
