RD aren’t you ashamed to run this scam with access code 84364 ? I wish you to loose at least half of your readership. At least, this is my last subscription.
Aline… I don’t understand – what is the significance of 84364??
my numberr is 82967
Well I’ll be… I have the same number as Viola Tobinson :82967. I take it, it is not the winning number. Viola Robinson we are not the winners for sure.
With sadness I leave you be:
Anneke Scholte
I also have the 82967 number….this mag. is so small now, definatly will not renew.
I too have that number so obviously this is not an honest contest…sad. I won’t be renewing my magazine anymore
my number is also 82967
I don’t understand how so many of us can have the same number.
I have the same number 82967 as two previous people who commented before me.
What’s with that?
thats my number too, scam or what??
I also have 82967. Readers Digest better explain this one.
mine too
funny thing RD viola robinson has the same code I have 82967.I had my renewal all ready to drop in the mail with a christmas gift sub for my grand daughter…………..forget it !!!!!! GB
I also have thet same access code 82967,maybe we share it for every other week…….
have same access code 82967. I guess we are not sharing gift. lol
I also have 82967. What a joke. We will not be renewing our subscription after about 40myears.
It seems I have the same number as well – 82967. So much for a chance at winning the GPS. I am so tired of being bombarded with mail from RD. I will let my subscription run out and will not be subscribing to any future subscriptions. I agree with another comment on the scam that is being run by RD.
I too have that lucky old number: 82967! I have had problems in the past even finding the website to enter my number much less finding out that a whole bunch of other lucky people have the same number!! I agree that it appears to be a scam and RD should be reported to the authorities for running such a contest. I’ll have to think a second time about renewing my subscription when it comes due on 2014!!!
Yes Viola, you and I do have exactly the same access codes : 82967 RD you should be ashamed of yourselves. Because I am an honest Canadian citizen, I never thought Reader’s Digest would stoop so low. Are all your so-called “contests” a scam as well?
my number is 82967 scam it is!!!
Geraldine Just to let all of you know!! You need go to the win a tomtom/ Test for Readers Digest and scroll down n look on right side of screen n the number of 82967 is just an access code Not an Individual Number to Win With Which is on

Once there fill out Your Name n Address n E-mail Address n Enter!!! That’s It!!! Hope This is Helpful to Any of You Feeling Screwed Around by Readers Digest!! Have a good day!!
EVERY TIME YOU HAVE A CONTEST I SEEM TO BE NOT ABLE TO GET THE INFO OF ME TO YOU . HOW’S ABOUT TELLING ME HOW TO ENTER YOUR CONTESTS WITHOUT ALL THE BS. SEEMS LIKE THIS IS A SCAM OR WHAT. FIX THE PROBLEM OR I WILL CANCEL ALL MY THINGS WITH YOU. I HAVE BEEN WITH YOU FOR OVER 30 YEARS SO HOW’S ABOUT TREATING ME WITH SOME RESPECT AND STOP THE GAMES THAT YOU PLAY WITH PEOPLE AND MYSELF.
of all the comments don,t sound like it,s something to get into ALSO tom tom,s do not cost this much i could not even get into it A FARCE
WHY ARE YOU NOT ACCEPTING MY COMMENTS
Your comment WAS accepted, although I can’t say that it made much sense.
I was given readers digest as a gift the coupon 84364 say contest closes April 30, 2012 little disappointed your site says closed should have known it was a scam along with your magazine it is half the size it was when I used to enjoy reading it. If it was not a gift I would not waste the money.
Hi all just entered readersdigest.ca/gps to win it works finnally, Good luck.
Cant believe i stoped my netflex to enter this contest and read its a scam.
it,s hard to enter these contests #84364
when I registered,I was not asked for the code 84364, is this mean the registration didn’t get through or its a scam?
Why are you allowed to send these scam contest out , most of the time your websites don’t work and everybody got the same access code. Please wake up. When my subscription runs out I will never read another readers digest.
@Dorothy (and others)…this is NOT the Reader’s Digest site! I’m sure you want your feedback to be heard, so please take the time to contact Reader’s Digest directly.
and, as joe said above, it appears that the contest is now working properly:
http://readersdigest.ca/gps
It look like everyone has the same access number and it will not register. This is a scam
Why should I have to join something else in order to qualify to enter the tomtom contest – then I get all sorts of daily advertising e-mails that I do not want??? I’m already your book member & have been for years, but do not have any wish whatsoever to join anything else – thank you very much………it’s “Very Annoying” to say the least.
My name is Sylvie and I work for Reader’s Digest in Customer Care.
The contest is valid and the code you received in the mail will allow you to enter.
However, you should not search for the URL but go to it directly by typing it in the address bar of your web browser. Alternatively, you can click on File then Open and type the URL there.
Good luck with the draw.
Hi Sylvie, I would like to cancel my subscription to Reader’s Digest. Please email me the steps to follow to do so.Thanks
@Thanaa – Sylvie won’t have any way of knowing your email address (and please don’t add it to the comments here – this is NOT the readers digest site!!). You should contact readers digest directly.
I also have same the access code no.84364 as all above mentioned readers comments, is it a scam or something else, unbelievalbe that come from readerdigest!! I want to have the answer from them!!
It’s soooo nice that Mike is monitoring this page for us all and telling us what we’re doing wrong, the point that all of the people are trying to convey Mike , is that it appears to be a scam. I too got RD as a gift and I would under no circumstances gift anyone with it and all the junk mail that comes with it. I admit I have thrown many in the trash unopened as most of it now is ads. TV is bad enough without having it to plod thro’ to find the articles to read. Not worth it. I lost respect when they stopped paying for submissions and “rewarded” with a free subscription. Ya pass
[sigh…]
I feel your pain, Mike. 😉 How about that Sobey’s?!
Here is their email address… rdcanada@custhelp.com
Tell them what you think of their contest….
Thank you, Chris…much appreciated!
i can,t get in to the site to win a tomtom is this a scam or for real. it would be nice to win some thing fron readers digest.thank you
I have been with the digest for years and have given my friend a gift copy for years. This is insane having paying customers spending time to look for a way to register without success. Just mail me a line where i can type it in and enroll. I am ready to cancel my subscription.
If this is nothing to do with RD DONT put it in my envelope please
This is Sylvie again from Reader’s Digest. If you use Google (or another search engine) to find the contest, it is likely that you will not get it. You must go directly to the site by typing the address in the address bar of your web browser.
I can assure you that the contest is there and that it is working. Many have already entered.
If you need to get in touch with Reader’s Digest directly, you can call 1-800-465-0780 or send an email to customer.service@readersdigest.ca. We’ll be happy to answer all your questions.
Good luck with the draw.
Sylvie
Sylvie whom are you trying to fool
Hey everyone. The GPS contest isn’t the only one that Readers Digest runs.
Just go to http://www.rd.ca which will take you to the home page. Then in the top row you’ll find a directory one of which says “Contests” They also have a whole lot of free games. Some of the other directions are to “Games” and “Jokes”
I enter every day. I also do the daily crossword and a couple of the other games.
Enjoy
RD has lost its charm, no informative article even the laughter is no laughter, I am a reader for the last 4 years and noticed that their sales promotion team instead of improving the quality of RD are only busy in non professional techniques such as this and other lotteries.
Kindly stop this and concentrate to improve the quality of your magazine
Have tried several time to access for a free tomtom but have been block out .thank for nothing .
hate the new wannawin contest
I have review several comments. I too am totally disappointed in another Canadian Company. You run contest and adds that leave your audience in a position of finding rewards in purchasing your products. However, you run what appears to be false web links of a contest that prove invalid. I understand many a customer feeling this is a complete case of fraud, which is shameful. Having said so, I doubt your company gives a damn about the costumer if they can access a contest offer. While reading the digest is interesting and purely Canadian author driven, how you make a dollar is all you are interested in. Rich companies like rich people look for others to fail in life and look at regular hard working people simply has prey. Maybe when all customers cancel their subscriptions, someone in your glamous world of riches will take notice that your greed is about to swallow you up.
I have tried to enter your contests and can’t seem to get thru. Why does everyone have the same access code? I could’nt even find a place to type in my access code. I don’t think Readers Digest is very honest and I have the feeling that this is all a fraud!
you will burn in hell with your money, take me out of your mailing list and E-mail list, I do not want to hear from you any more
Marie, if you want off Wannawin’s e-mail list, you should contact them!
The computer I use has protectors that wont allow me to use the website. Here’s my code #
82967
For anyone that’s looking for the Reader’s Digest TomTom contest, PLEASE use this URL:
http://readersdigest.ca/tomtom
I just recieved my card with my acess code and have been looking for some time to enter, but haven’t found it yet. So either it doesn’t exist or someone have their wires crossed! Might as well go and buy one, at least it would save a lot of aggravation- and yes the readers digest book is only half the size it used to be, but the price is not half.
Late news!! just found the website and it does work. Keep looking guys!
can’t find how to win tom/tom/ acess # 82967.
Received this card with the latest Readers Digest. Entry code 82967. Seems like this contest was over last April. Will not take the code. Fast info on this one. Getting a lot of this lately. Best get your contests set up before you send out cards.
If you’re looking for the Reader’s Digest TomTom please go to http://readersdigest.ca/tomtom.
I received this card in the mail today and went to enter it and it says the contest expires April 5, 2012. My code is 82967, supposedly I can win a tomtom GPS
Bernardine LaFoy
Terrible contest!1 I’ve tried several times. i give up.
will never subscribe to Reader’s Digest again.
I hope I win! Tsk, tsk!
i guess i won’t subscribe to this readers digest anymore either..,so all these contests they run are all scams ?i also have that same number…82967
is this really a scam ? would like to know…
No, Gayle, I don’t think it’s a scam. I believe they use the number (82967 or whatever) to keep track of how many people entered from different mailings or other forms of advertising. It’s likely that they pick the winner randomly from the people who’ve entered, regardless of the code that the person used when entering. That’s just my 2 cents, though. I’m sure others may disagree, and there’s also the fact that many people don’t like Reader’s Digest contests due to the amount of spam email you get after entering.
Try to find readersdigest.ca/tomtom contest but can not get intoit to register. Does readersdigest not want us to enter or are they doing a phony ad. Not happy
I. too, got No. 82967. Now I intend to cancel my subscription.
I also have 82967. What a joke. I have had other problems with RD and they were anything but friendly and not willing to help or listen! I am soooo done!
If I choose to enter RD contests, it is best to use Internet Explorer. Does anyone know a winner of either RD or Wannawin?
The Readers Digest is a disgrace to Canada!
And should be removed from the magazine racks all over the world!!
We will NOT be renewing our subscription that we have had for over 50 years!!!
this contest stinks,I also have82967
Another 82967 – yeh right!
Excellent produit
82967
i also have 82967 but the only big problem is sharing my prize with so many other people!Maybe we should launch a class action and get one each………
i also have 82967 this not an honest contest, hahaha like i will be sharing my prize with so many other people. Such a scam now nobody like RD anymore good luck RD!!!
i also have 82967
I am one of several with the access code 82967—-what gives, makes me wonder about contests run by you people—my subscription is not much valued by Reader’s digest and considerably less by me. Good luck RD.
I found the contest by typing http://readersdigest.ca/tomtom in the address bar of my web browzer & it works. There’s spaces to type in your access code.Contest closes Nov. 30/12. My husband and I have been Readers Digest subscribers for many years and found their magazine honest, interesting and informative. I notice too, that the mag is much thinner, but that’s a product of the times the country is in and hopefully things will pick up for them. Good luck!
my number is 82967 my husband got his readers digest many years ago as a christmas gift from his now 96yr old mother he loves to read it we will never give it up
