I absolutely “HATE” facebook contests–to enter, a contestant must “like” whatever. Also, having to give permission to access profile information, including friends is an invasion of privacy. I am very disappointed that “Facebook” is not strictly a “social network”, but has become too much another corporate network.

I just opened a second facebook account just for contests – and don’t invite any friends, so nobody gets bothered. Seems to work fine – I even won a few times.
