Kenya can be fun. Nairobi is a bit dodgy but many of the towns are nice. Nakuru is quite nice – once you get away from the tourist bus parking area – and you can see practically every creature you came to Africa to see either in the park by Nakuru or in the more popular Masai Mara.
It was actually pretty nice tolerable weather in July when we went: 14 to 24 degrees. No real inclement weather until we got to Uganda 🙂
The roads are just atrocious, though – overloaded trucks on hot pavement – and you will feel like all eyes are upon you in a lot of places.
