Love it! Italy is beautiful and I adore those old European cities. Venice is my personal favourite and only 70 miles by train from Verona – so you could see 2 amazing cities!
Agreed Kirsty, Venice is fab. As are the northern lakes, closest being Lake Garda.
I booked a week in Bardolino, right next door to Garda town itself, as a fly-drive last year with low cost holidays with a few days spent end in Verona city (as it’s also en-route on the way back to the closest airport). Bardolino and Garda, I absolutely loved, and I took the car on a lap of the lake for the day, exploring all the towns on my travels. Restaurants and little shops were amazing.
Verona was pretty nice, and would almost agree with it being a ‘Shakespearean vacation’. With one big ‘BUT’. The only thing that let Verona down was the Romeo and Juliet balcony. It’s just a small square fall of tourists fighting to get onto the balcony for a photo. Plus, all the surrounding walls are smoothered in market pen graffiti. See Verona, and fall in love with the history. just don’t expect much from the famed balcony.
Call me crazy, but doesn’t this say….anywhere in Canada? Last time I saw an atlas, Verona, Italy wasn’t in Canada. Can anyone explain?

This is NOT going to win you a trip to Italy…this is travel within Canada. I read the rules six times plus anyone in Canada is eligible to enter not just the three provinces it mentions. This is one big mixed up contest, did you notice????

I’m surprised they want people to mail this entry in.. this is the first contest I have come across that requires one to do this.. and you have no way of knowing if it arrives.. hmmm
